Faith does not rule out intelligence or knowledge. Let us seek the Lord while he may be found.

Malachi 3/1-12
1 Behold, I send my messenger to prepare the way before me, and suddenly come to his temple the Lord whom ye seek, and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he cometh, saith the LORD of hosts.
(My messenger = John the Baptist) (Angel of the covenant = Jesus Christ)
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? And who shall stand when he appears? Because he is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap.
3 And shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that the LORD will bring an offering in righteousness.
(Purify the sons of Levi = priests) (they bring to the Lord fair offer = Priests.)
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in ancient days, and as in former years.
(The offering of Judah and Jerusalem = All other tribes.)
5 And I will come to you to court, and will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, and that turn aside the right of the stranger, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
(I'll be swift witness against sorcerers, adulterers, etc. .. against those who defraud the workers' wages, oppress the widows and the fatherless, and the overthrow of the stranger. Who were they? = Priests)
6 For I am the LORD, I change not: therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
(God does not change, the part of him did not exist it fails for you (= priests), sons (tribes) of Jacob are not consumed)
7 Since the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept; Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts: but ye say, Wherein shall we return?
(You away from mine ordinances = Priests ) (But ye say = priests )
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me, ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
(Will a man rob God? Yet ye = priests)
9 Ye are cursed with a curse, because it robbed me, even this whole nation.
(Ye are cursed, robbed me, even this whole nation = The priests, Levites, or Israel).
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I do not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, until there is room enough to receive it.
(Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse = Temple) (For the sake of food = Food)
(Open the windows of heaven = rain)
11 And because of you rebuke the devourer, and he did not destroy the fruits of your ground, and your vine in the field will not be barren, saith the LORD of hosts.
(Because of you = faithful priest ) (devouring = pests of field)
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightful land, saith the LORD of hosts.
(All the nations of the world be happ=)
Was this care the testimony of Israel.
Note The priests were responsible for the orphans, widows and strangers.
The tithes were annual or three years, and would be in food.
The priests had no inheritance in the family.
Because then the churches believe the right to collect tithes?
Matthew 23/23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of law, justice, mercy and faith, you must, but do these things, and not neglecting the others.
(Scribes and Pharisees were Jews, and in that time were still in the dispensation of law. Jesus had not died, the veil and the temple were still there. Jesus rebuked them for lack of mercy, justice and faith). (The ordinances of the law of the Torah were invalidated by the death of Jesus).
Matthew 10 / 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye received, freely give.
Mark 11/15-18 They came to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the changers and the seats of them that sold doves. And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
And he taught, saying, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But you have made it a den of thieves.
And the scribes and chief priests heard it, when they sought to destroy him: for they feared him, because the whole crowd was astonished at his doctrine.
I John 4 / 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
II Peter 2 / 1 and there were also false prophets among the people, as among you shall be false teachers, who covertly introduce damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
34/1-10 Ezekiel came to me the word of the LORD, saying,
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to the shepherds: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep?
You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, ye kill them that are fed, but not the flock.
Not strengthened the weak, and the patient does not cure or binds the wounds and does not bring stray, lost and does not seek, but ruled them with rigor and hardness.
And they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and they became meat to every beast of the field, they were scattered.
My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered throughout the earth, with no one asked for them, nor those who seek it.
Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:
I live, saith the Lord GOD, that, surely because my flock became a prey, and my sheep have to serve the food to all the beasts of the field for lack of a shepherd, and neither did my shepherds search for my flock; and the shepherds fed themselves, and do not feed my sheep;
Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:
Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against the shepherds of their hands will require my flock, and they cease from feeding the sheep, the shepherds are not shepherds feed themselves any more, and I will deliver my flock from their mouth, and not serve more than pasture.
So Ezekiel 34/22-24 save my flock, lest more be a prey, and I will judge between sheep and sheep.
And raise up over them one shepherd, and he shall feed them, even my servant David is the shepherd, he will serve as pastor. And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them: I the LORD have spoken.
